Congratulations!

I hope you have been able to join in our fun over on Facebook for the Merry & Bright Crop... this is 4th sketch challenge I hope you can play along.

Here is the card I came up with. My daughter called me last week and told me one of her girlfriends that she has known since 4th grade was buying her first house and asked if I had a card or if I could make her one. I knew this stamp set and sketch would be a perfect match.

I like to coordinate the inside of my cards as well. Sometimes I do some stamping but usually I just coordinate the paper.

Here we have Sketch N Scrap #38 for you to work with

Majority Rules

I know I have mentioned before that one of my favorite places to find challenges is over at Sketch N Scrap? I have another sketch for you to try today. Don't forget to play along with and us, you might even win a fun prize.

Here I used some older papers that I have had in my stash for years. I have used it several times and it is travel focused but I thought it went well for these photos of our canoe trip.

Here is a close up of the fun thickers they have a grid pattern on them.

The December 1st sketch is so versatile and I love how you can use multiple photos for this page.

No automatic alt text available.

Layouts are the 1st and 15th and Cards are the 5th and the 20th. I hope you can play along!

Love and Marriage 4+ years later

You guys, it finally happened! My daughter finished her wedding album. Yay This past year they celebrated their 4 year anniversary, they have also had a little boy and a little girl since they said I Do.

Her album was one of her favorite gifts, she actually called me before I even got home from the reception (an hour away) to thank me. She has been working on filling it ever so slowly ever since.

Here it is.

The first page,

A little close up of the details

This page is a little busy but it was for something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. I also love how she put up her dress with her bridesmaid dresses.

A page just for her

One for him too

I love way this page turned out with her bridesmaids.

The groomsmen all cleaned up so nicely.

Some moments from their ceremony

 and from their photo shoot

Family shots

She was not sure what she wanted to do here but it turned out perfect for the speeches

Their cake I already knew what it looked like so I made an embellishment that looked like it.

Their first dance

Friends and fun times from the photo booth at the reception

Now the party really starts

and then the night comes to an end

More kissing...

I made her invitations and some other things for her wedding that for some reason I did not take a photo of. I have to say this album was a lot of work but I loved making it and to know that they have this to remember their special day makes it all worth it.

Off on an adventure

I hope you have been able to join in our fun over on Facebook for the Bountiful Blessings Crop...speaking of blessings this is sketch #4 at our crop but you still have time to join in the fun!

I am sharing a card I made for my husband. He recently changed careers and just got his CDL. He has been talking about doing this ever since I met him so I am just so happy that he was able to pursue and complete one of his dreams. He started his first job and I wanted to give him a nice card to start off his adventure.

I looked through my stamps and found several cars, vans, and even a motorcycle. I couldn't find a semi or anything I liked so I looked up what I had available on my cricut. Sure enough I found a truck but I wanted a flat bed. I decided to slice it up and make my own flat bed, since that is what he will be driving.

I decided to add a sentiment for his load. Fussy cut a few clouds, tore the "road" and added some heart clouds. Over all it came together really fast and I was happy with the end result.

Here you can see all the layers on the truck and I also popped up the base.

I like to coordinate the inside of my cards. I left this one blank so I could write mushy stuff in there.

Here is the sketch that I used as a starting point for my card. I stayed pretty true to the layout. I just moved the sentiment from the bottom to the truck bed. Sketch #62

Create

I hope you have been able to join in our fun over on Facebook for the Bountiful Blessings Crop... this is sketch #1 I hope you can play along.

I did some hidden journaling with this one because this was such a great story. I could have also chose another background paper and journaled where the brown gingham is at but went this route instead.

 This is sketch #92

I hope you like what I came up with! I hope you will be able to play along and show us what you came up with.
